Accounting 2004 Basic Redesigned
Account Reconciliation The Account Reconciliation feature has been
redesigned to make it even easier to set up and use. Earlier dates can be entered
into the account reconciliation, so it is not necessary to wait to receive the
bank statement before advancing into a new month. Accounts can be reconciled to
the statement date. Enhanced reporting
Reports have been enhanced with a more polished and professional appearance
onscreen as well as in printed format. Date sensitive Inventory Reports Inventory reports can be generated as of an earlier date. Income Statement with
Gross Profit A new Income Statement that includes Gross Profit has
been added. Enhanced integration between
Financial Statements and Excel Financial statements can be exported
directly into Excel as a spreadsheet including formulas for calculations. When
this is done, Excel automatically opens with the report. Increased
flexibility on aged reports The vendor and customer-aged reports now
exclude paid invoices that are older than the number of days specified. Enhanced
search capabilities The search capabilities in Simply have been expanded
to make data easier to find. When looking up information, lists can be sorted
in a variety of formats. In addition, multi-key searching is available throughout
the product. Prepaid orders
This feature allows for sales and purchase orders to be entered as prepaid. Automatic
lookup and adjusting entries in Payments & Receipts The automatic
adjusting entry feature has been added in the Payments and Receipts screens. Allow
customers to pay by credit card in Receipts The Receipts journal allows
customers to pay outstanding invoices with a credit card. Allow
credit card receivable to be bank or cash account You can now link
your credit cards directly to a bank or cash account for more flexibility. Longer
inventory Part Code Inventory Part Codes have been increased in length
to 14 characters. This will accommodate the new barcode rules. Period
locking You can now "lock" periods to prevent transactions
from being accidentally posted before a specified date. Tab
into the project allocation field in transactions This optional setting
saves time because it does not require the use of the mouse when entering project
allocations. Direct Deposit
The direct deposit feature in Simply Accounting allows you to deposit paycheques
directly into your employees' bank accounts. To use this feature, you must first
register for this service, then set up information about your bank accounts and
employees. Every time you process payroll, Simply Accounting stores direct deposit
information that you submit (upload) to the service provider. Additional fees
will apply for this service. User-Defined
Expense in Payroll You can now define five more expense accounts to
record additional employer expenses. Employee
Entitlements Simply Accounting now tracks employee entitlements such
as sick days or leave of absence. SIMPLY ACCOUNTING BASIC 2004 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
