10.5 is now compatible with all Microsoft 32- bit platforms, so you can connect
to any pcAnywhere host computer, regardless of which version of Windows is running. Enhanced
logging pcAnywhere 10.5 adds additional logging capabilities including:
- Connection failures due to an invalid IP address
or security ID
- Connection attempts from unauthorized TCP/IP addresses

Tool This tool lets you check the configuration of your host connection
items to ensure that you are taking advantage of the security features in pcAnywhere
10.5 and helps you identify areas where you might be at risk. Connection
status For added security, the host icon in the system tray now displays
information about who is connected to the host. Move the cursor over the host
icon to see the remote computer name, type of connection, and session duration. Customizable
container view The watermarks in the pcanywhere
10.5 Manager window help you distinguish between different modes of operation,
such as host or remote. The View menu now lets you turn the watermarks on or off,
so helpdesk operators and others who manage a large number of connection items
can have an unobstructed view of their connection lists. Rebootless
Host pcAnywhere 10.5 Packager lets administrators create host-only
packages that do not require end users to restart their computers once the installation
is complete. Rebootless host packages provide a quick way to deploy a pcAnywhere
10.5 host for a support session or to troubleshoot problems on a critical
server that cannot be rebooted. Windows NT caller accounts

lets you configure a Windows NT authentication caller account that supports global
domain groups that are nested within a local group. Administrators can now add
a domain account to the local administrator group that includes all administrators
in their company, instead of adding individual accounts to the local administrator
